    Introducing IDEAS FORWARD
    My Design Brand

    Graphic • Digital • Creative

A brand is more than a name, a logo, or a color palette. It’s how ideas are communicated, experiences are shaped, and people connect with the work. As I develop my professional portfolio, I want to create a personal brand that reflects my experience as a graphic designer and my growing focus on digital design, UI/UX, and accessible web experiences.

    Building My Brand Identity

When working through the Branding Workbook, I began by considering what distinguishes my approach to design and what I want employers and potential collaborators to understand about my work. My experience across editorial design, branding, marketing, and print production has taught me the importance of clear communication, visual hierarchy, and attention to detail. As I continue developing my digital design skills, I want my brand to communicate both this foundation and my interest in creating thoughtful, user-centered experiences.

I chose IDEAS FORWARD — Graphic • Digital • Creative to represent a forward-looking approach to design that connects creative thinking with practical communication. My tagline, “Turning Ideas Into Clear, Meaningful Visual Experiences,” expresses the purpose behind my work: transforming concepts and information into designs that people can understand, navigate, and remember. Clarity, creativity, accessibility, and purpose became my four core values because they guide both my creative decisions and the experiences I want to create for others.

Translating the Brand Into Visual Design

My Mood Board and Style Tile establish the visual direction for my portfolio. I selected a clean, modern design approach with a strong typographic hierarchy, generous white space, and a focused palette of deep navy, purple, blue, and warm neutrals. These colors provide a professional foundation while allowing creative accents to express personality. My typography choices prioritize readability and consistency, while the overall layout emphasizes structure, contrast, and purposeful use of imagery.

As I build my website, these decisions will guide how I present my editorial projects, brand identities, illustrations, and UI/UX case studies. I want visitors to move through the site naturally, understand each project’s purpose, and discover not only the final designs but also the thinking and process behind them. Ultimately, IDEAS FORWARD represents the kind of designer I strive to be: creative, thoughtful, detail-oriented, and committed to making information and experiences work better for people.
